House Coordinators

Terri Lynn (Paulson) Friesen
was drawn to living in community after taking term abroad classes to study agriculture in Cuba and Ethiopia. In pursuing her love for growing vegetables, she interned and volunteered on farms and learning centres in Texas, Guelph, and Florida. She loves learning and having spent 9 years on campus in Saskatoon and Vancouver. Terri Lynn has embraced her pastoral nature through her work at Osler Mennonite Church as the Pastor of Faith & Community. She believes many good conversations happen in kitchens and gardens - most of what her work and study have involved so far!

Terri Lynn met Thomas around the table as a guest in 'The Burrow'. They both visited L'Abri Canada, and soon after spending time there, fell in love and got married.

Thomas Friesen
His first experiences of intentional community were the Life Together House in Calgary, and later on with 8 other young adults in a huge old house called 'The Burrow' in Saskatoon. Thomas may at first seem quiet in nature, but his mind is always ticking away - forming good questions in a conversation, or thinking up mental blueprints for the next project. He often describes himself as a serial hobbyist - continually learning and developing new skills and techniques.  Thomas has fully embraced the challenge of renovating this century-old house, finding unique ways to refurbish and restore. He is trained as a Spiritual Director, so when he is not doing renos or companioning people on their spiritual journey, he is probably in the garage working on something.
